Cloudflare security cookies are conditional: they may not be present on every visit. Other strictly necessary technical identifiers may be used by the hosting or security infrastructure when required to deliver or protect the website.
Optional first-party website and publication statistics
Purpose and legal basis
If you choose Allow usage statistics, we collect limited information to understand use of the SPP Institute website, the readership and geographic reach of publications and conference records, and access to downloadable files. The legal basis is your consent. The website and files remain available if you decline.
Data used
For public HTML pages and tracked file requests, the analytics module may derive the country code supplied by the security infrastructure, device category, the first language code sent by the browser, and a simplified referring source or domain. It records aggregate site visits, page views, publication views, and file-download counts, together with the requested page path.
For repeat-count suppression, the visitor IP address and browser user-agent are used transiently to generate a keyed cryptographic hash. Raw IP addresses, complete user-agent strings, complete referrer URLs, names, email addresses, and persistent visitor identifiers are not stored by the analytics module.
Retention and public display
Pseudonymous repeat-suppression keys are retained for no longer than approximately one hour and are removed during the next collection cycle. Aggregate statistics are retained while the website and scholarly records remain available or while they are needed for institutional reporting. The public footer displays recorded visits, not unique individuals.
A documented historical baseline from Plesk or another auditable server-log report may be included in the public total. Any such baseline is recorded separately in the private administration dashboard with its source and through-date. Subsequent site visits are consented, bot-filtered, and deduplicated first-party visits.
Zenodo statistics and external links
Public aggregate views and downloads from Zenodo are retrieved by the SPP Institute server and shown separately from local website metrics. Your browser is not connected to Zenodo merely to display these figures. If you choose to follow a Zenodo, DOI, ORCID, or other external link, the external service processes that visit under its own privacy terms.
Hosting, security, and recipients
The website is hosted through Marcaria.com and protected and delivered through Cloudflare services. These providers may process technical request and security data, including IP addresses, as necessary to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Processing may involve infrastructure outside the European Economic Area subject to the safeguards used by the relevant provider.
We do not sell personal data or disclose visitor information for advertising. Data may be disclosed where required by law or to service providers acting for the purposes described in this notice.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Because the public analytics data are aggregated and the module does not retain direct identifiers, we may be unable to link an aggregate count to a particular person.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website, analytics module, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and its date will remain available on this page.
